Olympic Lifting Seminar with Anna Martin

Anna Martin’s Bio (click here to get to her website):
Anna has been an Olympic-style Weightlifting since the age of 14, over 18 years. She has placed in the top three at every National Championships and American Open from 2001 to 2006 and was the Collegiate National Champion in 2005. In 2006 she was ranked number 11 in the US. She lifted for the United States in Mexico City and Guatemala City and placed 2nd place in Mexico City’s Olympic Festival. In 2004 she was the first alternate to the Olympic Trials and in 2006 lifted in the World Team Trials. Her all time best lifts are 80kg (176lbs) Snatch and 100kg (220lbs) Clean and Jerk. As a coach, Anna was able to coach at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and Marquette, MI. She then coached Team Wesley in St. Joseph, MO for a year. Anna had 8 School-age National Champions and one girl that qualified for an International Weightlifting meet. Since then she has started her own team and has had over 25 National Champions and many best lifters. In 2008, Anna was named AAU Coach of the Year and was invited out to coach the School-age Christmas camp and the head women’s coach that was held in Colorado Springs. More recently she was invited to Colorado Spring again to coach the School-age camp in July. Also this fall one of the Master lifters she coaches, qualified for the Master’s World Championships.
Anna’s coaching certifications are USA Weightlifting Club and Senior Coach, CSCCa (Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches assoc), LWC Referee.
In this seminar, Anna will start with the Clean and break down the lift completely, then the Jerk and finally the Snatch. She also teaches several technique drills to make you faster and fix different technique problems. Lastly, she has a video program where she will film your lift and then slow it down, put lines on it so that you can see what you are doing and what you need to work on. If you want copies of the videos, she will email them at the end of the seminar.
