CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that is defined as “Constantly varied, high-intensity, functional movement.” Constantly varied means that the workout is different every day that you go to the gym. High intensity means that the workouts should be performed at your highest level of effort. Functional movements are movements that you encounter in everyday life such as lifting objects off the ground, sitting down from a standing position, or lifting something over your head. They are also movements that involve multiple joints and typically do not involve isolating movements such as bicep curls and leg extensions. CrossFit is universally scalable – so every workout can be tailored to an individual athlete’s fitness level, age, etc. At Arenal, our athletes range in age from 12 years old to over 70!
CrossFit, simply put, is for EVERYONE.
